Full bio
Whiplassh are a female-fronted post hardcore band from Brisbane, mixing cathartic hooks, hard-hitting guitars and real emotion into a sound that feels both familiar and fresh.
They wear their influences proudly, drawing on the DIY hardcore and post hardcore scenes of the 2000s. Think Paramore, Her Words Kill, Underoath, Saosin and SeeYouSpaceCowboy.
At a time when plenty of bands are chasing trends, Whiplassh write songs built to hit deeper, pairing vulnerability with aggression: honest lyrics over dynamic, heavy instrumentals that land just as hard live as on record.
Part of a new wave of Australian post hardcore, they are bringing fresh life to a genre that still speaks to a new generation of listeners. Their latest single is VERRUCKT, with an EP on the way.

Paramore, Her Words Kill, Underoath, Saosin, SeeYouSpaceCowboy.
Big melodic hooks over 2000s-style post hardcore, with a female vocal out front and heavy, dynamic guitars underneath.
